Copy selected entities to the clipboard
The command copies all selected entities to the Windows clipboard. Once the entities are in the clipboard, use from clipboard to paste them into the same drawing, or into a different one.
You cannot paste a drawing from the clipboard to other Windows applications. Although you can use the paste command in other applications, you will paste only a series of coordinates describing the object. This can be useful for some special purposes, such as editing the coordinates in an Excel spreadsheet, then re-pasting them back into LAYOUT.
is particularly useful for copying a portion of a drawing to another drawing. For example, to reuse a portion of one part in another part, use the Select command to choose the entities to be copied. Then use to make a copy of those entities. You can now load a different drawing and paste the entities into the new drawing.
In order to copy features from a drawing in LAYOUT, the Intelli-MAX Software must first be registered. Do not start drawing in LAYOUT before registering the software, or you won't be able to copy features from the drawing to the clipboard. For further information, see Register the Software.
