Raise Z-axis Before Going Home

Specify the distance to raise the Z-axis before moving to home

Specify the amount to raise the Z-axis before moving home

This dialog appears when the following is true:

• You have a motorized Z-axis
• You have checked "Ask to move Z up before going home" on the Speed Limits and Homing tab of the Advanced Technical Setup dialog.
• You clicked the Go Home button.

The dialog lets you specify an amount to raise the Z-axis, before the nozzle moves to the home position. You would use this if you had fixturing that might strike the nozzle while it moved home. You might also raise the nozzle if the material you were working with was uneven, or had raised sections.
