LAYOUT includes a number of sample files
When you install the LAYOUT software, you also install a number of sample files. Some of these sample files show useful techniques, while others are just fun to make. The samples are particularly useful when you want some practice working with the GlobalMAX. There are also some parts that are great as give-aways at an Open House or company picnic.
The sample files are located in Samples folder, which is in the folder where LAYOUT is installed. If you didn't change the location, this will be C:\Program Files\OMAX Corporation\OMAX_LAYOUT_and_MAKE.
However, there's a much easier way to find the samples than to click through a dozen folders. When you open a file in LAYOUT , just right-click on the folder list and a menu appears with a list of folder "bookmarks." The Sample directory is always one of these bookmarks, so you just have to select it to see the samples.

If you make changes to the samples, be sure to save them under a different name (or in a different directory). Otherwise, they may be replaced the next time you upgrade your software.For the safety of your data, do not save any personal work in the sample folders.
